What is Home Automation and its type?

Home Automation is the system of operating various electronic items and also non-electronic items which made smart for doing their specific purposes more efficiently. Home Automation makes life easy and also saves energy. Home automation can also be done remotely over the internet, it uses embedded systems and sensors for this purpose. Home Automation used in smart lighting, temperature control using Air conditioners and heaters, security systems, and all the other equipment used in home automation.

Types of home Automation

There are mainly three types of Home Automation:-

1. Power Line home Automation System

These types of Home Automation system do not require additional data wires but actually they use the existing power lines for their data transfer. But these types of Automation increase the complexity of the system and also require converters and devices.

2.Wired Home Automation System

In these types of Home Automation the devices are connected with a central control unit using dedicated communication lines. These control units are connected with computers which are responsible for all their operations. The devices are connected through actuators like relay to the control unit.

3. Wireless Home Automation

These types of Home Automation can be considered as the up-gradation and advancement of the existing wired Home Automation, in these types of Automation we use Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Bluetooth, GSM, IR, etc for communication with the devices.
