Introduction to Bluetooth Sensor HC-05 and its Characteristics.

Introduction


  • HC-05 is a Bluetooth module which is used for wireless communication between different electronic devices.
  • This Bluetooth module can be used in a master or slave configuration, i.e it can be used as either as master to give commands to other Bluetooth devices or as a slave to receive commands from other Bluetooth devices.

Pin Description 


This module has 6 pins:-
  • En/Key
  • VCC
  • GND
  • TXD
  • RXD
  • State

HC-05 Bluetooth Module


Pin working explained:-

1. En/Key:-  This pin is set to high to use the Bluetooth module in AT command mode. If it is not given high then it in default work in data mode. HC-05's default baud rate is 9600 in data mode and 38400 in AT mode.

2. VCC:- Connect 5 V or 3.3 V power to it. But to be safe it is recommended to connect 3.3 V to it.

3. GND:- Connect Ground to this pin.

4. TXD:- This pin's work is transmit the serial data received by the Bluetooth module through this pin.

5. RXD:-  This pins work to receive the serial data which is to be transmitted wirelessly through the Bluetooth.

6. State:- This pins work is to tell that the Bluetooth module is connected or not.
